Playboy Club London Casino Review Jump to comments The Playboy Club London Casino is located at the site of the former Rendezvous Mayfair Casino - 14 Old Park Lane, London, England. As the name implies the casino is not open to the public, however members may bring guests to the casino, and gamers (guests of members) are welcome in some venues. Hosting some of the best parties in Mayfair, Playboy casino and it’s world-famous Bunnies offer modern, lively yet still highly exclusive gaming experience. Decades after its closure in 1981, London’s very own Playboy Club is back, and it’s got a few tricks up its sleeve. Playboy Club London is a world-class casino.
Playboy Club London review - six out of ten
So when I heard the Playboy Club was a. open to non-members, b. hosting a special pink afternoon tea to commemorate breast cancer awareness, and c. was in partnership with Salvatore Calabrese, maker of the world’s most expensive cocktail, I was intrigued.
After getting settled, Martina, our bunny, handed us a menu and asked us to choose a tea, from fruity to floral.
At £30 a head (with £1 being donated to breast cancer research) we thought this was really competitive with the scores of other places service afternoon tea in the area, less alcoholic beverage.
The bunnies were more than happy to take any dietary requirements or substitutions which was a good touch.
Salvatore’s is open to non-members but head upstairs, as we did on our tour held by Bunny Hannah, and you see where the 1% come to play.

Branding itself an adult’s playground, the London Playboy Club is known as much for its ‘bunny girls’ as it is for its gambling. Following the closure of the original club in the 1980s, the Playboy re-opened its doors in June 2011 in upmarket Mayfair on Old Park Lane, West London, just off Hyde Park. Membership is not only costly (there is a joining fee as well as an annual fee) but not everyone is accepted. However, you can visit the casino with a member.
Drivers can avail themselves of the free valet parking in the Playboy’s underground garage or, if using public transport, Hyde Park Corner is the nearest tube station. Mayfair is about 10 miles west of London City Airport and 16 miles east of Heathrow. Given its location, there are a huge number of hotels to choose from – many within walking distance – the Intercontinental being the nearest.

The casino can be found on the first floor of the venue and is hosted by the aforementioned Playboy bunnies in their 1970s-inspired uniforms. Most of the classic games are on offer on the gaming floor and players will find American Roulette, Baccarat and Blackjack. The tables are complemented by electronic machines and slots. The only poker played here is Three Card variety. The casino features three private rooms and a Players’ Lounge for players, the latter has 24 hour food and drinks service as well as plasma screens to show major sporting events
Salvatore’s Bar, winner of the 2012 Best Bar in the London Lifestyle Awards, serves a wide range of beverages including cocktails in a live piano bar. You can also dine in their restaurant or privately. The Baroque is the Club’s flamboyant nightspot where you can enjoy big band jazz, eclectic cabaret, champagne towers as well as sumptuous food.

Glamourous enough for me!
Club Mayfair Amsterdam
This club is members only, and membership isn't cheap - over £1,000 a year plus an application fee according to the website, I checked :( - so if you're looking for somewhere to take your girlies on a night out then this isn't it.
I'm not a member so have never even seen the casino, but you must be able to get in to the cocktail lounge as a guest - either that or they let my housemate and I in because we're suitably gorgeous. :)
This place is fantastic though, one of the best bars I've been to in London. The cocktails are amazing, service is exquisite and it's so frickin' classy.
